Kelp Island

2013

Concept proposal developed as a winning commission for Cape Farewell on the Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon Scheme in 2013.

Kelp Island is a floating classroom built on a base compound called BioHaven; a project developed by Frog Environmental, a Wales based company, to create habitats and increase biodiversity in urban waterways. Kelp Island was informed by conversation Dr Ruth Callaway at the Biosciences department at Swansea University.
